The mural, which was painted by local artist John Matlock, spans the entire face side of the pool facilities, and features bright, larger-than-life whales and tropical fish that bring an unexpected burst of color to the park. Town officials, sponsors, and the public are welcome to attend the reception.

This project is supported in part by a grant from the West Springfield Arts Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council for the Arts, a state agency.

Gregory John Maichack will present “Jellyfish,” a new pastel painting workshop. This is a workshop designed for both sheer beginners to advanced participants.
